Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Crux ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Crux is a software-as-a-service platform for property professionals. We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

3. User Accounts

To use Crux you must register for an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date. You must notify us immediately at legal@getcrux.co.uk if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable UK laws. You must not: (a) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems; (b) use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Service; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (d) use the Service to store or transmit malicious code; (e) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (f) use the Service for any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity; or (g) resell, sublicence, or redistribute access to the Service without our prior written consent.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, source code, algorithms, features, and documentation, is owned by Crux Intelligence LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of all data you upload or create within the Service ("Your Data"). By using the Service, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.

6. Payment & Billing

Crux is currently available at no charge during its early-access period. When paid plans are introduced, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Paid subscriptions will renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' written notice.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy. We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you require a Data Processing Agreement, contact us at privacy@getcrux.co.uk.

8. Third-Party Data

The Service may retrieve data from third-party sources, including publicly available data sources. Such data is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data and accept no liability for decisions made based on such data.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any data, calculations, or information provided through the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at privacy@getcrux.co.uk. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data will be permanently deleted within 30 days following account termination. You may request an export of Your Data prior to termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
